Our Facilities
PSI’s facilities are housed in one million square feet of engineering, assembly, operations and distribution space split up across seven facilities and employing roughly 1,000 people. We are positioned to meet the high-volume production volumes of our customers with added capacity for future growth.
Our dedicated advanced product and application engineering facilities allow us to create purpose-built powertrains that meet OEMs’ specific applications, while our testing and emissions centers enable PSI to provide quality, environmentally certified products.

WOOD DALE, IL
Our 261,000-square-foot engine dress trim operations facility in Wood Dale offers full customization services to customers based on their specific applications and needs, helping them drive high-quality performance. Processes utilized within the facility give PSI the agility and flexibility to respond to the demand of different OEM product lines without losing the efficiencies and quality expected by high volume automotive manufacturers.

PSI’s 105,000-square-foot machining and base engine build facility in Wood Dale, Ill., includes machining, engine prep, assembly and testing operations. The facility’s use of various quality processes and metrics ensures that our customers receive the right engine the first time, every time.

ITASCA, IL
PSI’s 198,000-square-foot research and development, engineering and large engine displacement assembly facility in Itasca, Ill., draws on the skill sets of more than 80 trained engineers to design and develop high-performing engines.

Our state-of-the-art 22,400-square-foot engine research and development center in Burr Ridge, Ill., enables us to develop our engines’ performance in several vital areas including emissions, efficiency, performance, altitude capability and fuel blending. The facility’s dynamometer test cells improve our speed to market for new products and enhance our ability to support our existing products.

PSI’s 40,000-square-foot research and development and vehicle integration facility in Madison Heights, Mich., provides alternative fuel and gasoline systems and total powertrain solutions for OEM engines, transmissions and complete drivetrains. We provide and offer both low- and high-volume packaging, design, engineering, emission certification and dress assembly capabilities.

Our 200,000-square-foot facility in Darien, Wis., specializes in engineering, designing and manufacturing complete, custom-designed integrated power generation packages for a wide variety of applications and markets. The ISO 9001-certified facility boasts a 100-ton lifting capacity and includes fabrication as well as mechanical and electrical controls assembly capabilities.

HANOVER PARK, IL
PSI’s 160,000-square-foot facility in Hanover Park, Ill., houses operations and material storage, as well as our service/warranty group and aftermarket sales team. The facility allows additional capacity in our main manufacturing facilities in Wood Dale and enables us to take on new opportunities such as customer kitting.
Beyond these facilities, PSI’s strategic relationship with Weichai (en.weichai.com) gives us a global presence, with more than 500 service centers located in 55 countries.
